About Us
Surrounded by picturesque and peaceful countryside and within walking distance of Salisbury, the Old Stables at Bridge Farm offers the perfect base for a weekend get-away or a longer break.
Wheelchair accessible and with wet-rooms, each of our three cottages ensures those with mobility difficulties are welcomed with comfort.
Originally cow sheds and used to accommodate Bridge Farm's herds of dairy livestock, each cottage has undergone a significant renovation, making them now far more accommodating to human beings, whilst maintaining a unique character and countryside feel. We didn't want to call the cottages The Old Cow Sheds. We just couldn't think of anyone famous who was born in one.... and anyway, who would want to stay in it?
Each cottage has a ground floor twin bedroom with an en suite wheelchair accessible wet room. On the first floor, each cottage has a triple room (a double bed and a single bed) and a single bedroom with a shared bathroom. Each cottage has a light and spacious open plan living area with a kitchen and large doors that lead guests to a private patio area. There is a shared cob walled garden behind each patio, and guests also have access to the gated river walk.
The walk to Salisbury is timely but picturesque. In total it takes around 30 minutes. The journey takes you through the Cathedral grounds and into the heart of Medieval Salisbury. Alternatively, the drive takes only a few minutes. There is also a park and ride bus stop at the top of Lower Road.
We are situated just a few minutes drive from Salisbury District Hospital, too.
We allow up to two dogs, for which we charge £30 per dog per night.
